II

Cottage, now 2 cottages. Late C16 with C20 alterations. Thatched roof,
half hipped with large central chimneys and small chimney to East, 1
dormer cut into thatch to each cottage and thatch dressed down over C20
porch to The Retreat. Timber frame with brick and plaster infill.
C20 brick and tiled extension breaks forward from Lilac Cottage. 1
storey and attic. Irregular timber casements, plain 4 panel door
under flat hood to Lilac Cottage.
