Lodge. C19. Dressed rubble stone, slate roof with gables and hips, and
chimney of 2 gothic panelled stone shafts. Elaborate fretted eaves and
bargeboards with large wood finials at verges and apexes. 2 storeys,
half-octagon in plan to east, hipped roof open porch on slim wood columns
with ornamental braces.Tudor arched doorway, 2 panel door. Carved shield
on stonework above porch. 2-light mullioned and transomed windows with
stone hoodmoulds and very elaborately patterned iron lattice glazing.
1 wide bay extension to W. of ashlar stone, roof and eaves detail continued,
1 3-light window to each floor with hoodmoulds but plain glazing. S. elevation
with door only.
