Offices. c1925 for Staffordshire County Council. Ashlar and
brick with stone dressings and plain tile roof with brick and
stone ridge and side stacks. Wrenaissance style with stone
ground floor, brick upper and stone modillion cornice. 2
storeys and attic; 5-window range of stone mullion cross
windows with leaded lights. Moulded hoods to 1st floor, aprons
to ground floor. Central projecting doorway has moulded stone
surround, pediment supported on carved consoles and panel
above linking to central window. Panel has carved swags and
volutes at sides. Similar simpler front to St Chad's Place to
left. Forms a group with County Buildings, No.15 to left (qv)
(in similar style) and County Buildings opposite, (qv).
