House, now public house. C17; mainly late C17; refronted late C19. Coursed
limestone rubble; stucco front. Gabled Welsh slate roof; end stacks of rendered
stone finished in brick to left and of C18 brick to right. U-plan with rear
wings. 2 storeys; 3-window range. Flat pentice roof over C20 double doors and 2
square bay windows. C20 window to left; on first floor, 3-light casement flanked
by 2-light late C19 casements with glazing bars. Rear: 2-storey C19 outshut.
Two-storey rear wing to right, late C17 and of similar materials, has later C18
service range with concrete-tile roof to rear. C18 two- and one-storey ranges to
rear left, of similar materials and with corrugated iron roofing to rear.
Interior: heavy chamfered beam to right; chamfered beams; open fireplaces with
chamfered bressuners in end walls of front range, which has central
through-passage. Roofs not inspected but likely to be of interest.
