House. Late C18 with early C19 extension. Painted incised rendered walls, with
pilastered quoin to left and string panel, on chamfered plinth. Graduated
greenslate roof; brick chimney stack. 2-storey, 2-bay facade (double span to
rear of 4 bays). Panelled door under intersecting glazing-bar fanlight in
Tuscan open-pedimented doorcase. Sash windows with glazing bars in painted
stone surrounds. Rear wall of sandstone. Sash windows with glazing bars in
painted stone surrounds; larger round-headed staircase window with intersecting
glazing bars. Built around the earlier part of Burnfoot Cottage adjoining and
has a side entrance through that property. Has G.V. with St Ursula's Convent
School adjoining.
