4 houses with shops on ground floor. Dated 1793 over side carriage arch.
Pebble-dashed walls with string courses, dentilled cornice and angle pilasters
on moulded plinth. Hipped Welsh slate roof with brick chimney stacks. 3
storeys, 3 bays each, with 2 bays to left rear forming L-shape (No 1 Market
Hill). 9-panel doors under patterned fanlights in open pedimented Tuscan
doorcases up 3 steps. Sash windows in stone surrounds. No 1 Market Hill
(Border Insurance Advisory Service) has porch with C20 door under patterned
fanlight in pilastered surround and console-bracketed cornice. Ground floor
shop window, C20 casements above and upper floor sash windows. Segmental
carriage arch to left has quoined surround and dated keystone.
