House, now offices, and adjoining coach house and boundary
walls. c1780, with mid C19 alterations and additions. Coursed
squared stone with ashlar front and dressings and slate roof
with 2 brick gable stacks and coped gables.
Plinth and eaves cornice, projecting painted stone surrounds
to windows. 3 storeys; 3-window range of margin light sashes,
and above, 3 similar smaller sashes. Moulded ashlar doorcase
with pediment on scroll brackets and moulded margin stile door
with overlight, flanked by single Venetian windows with
glazing bar lights.
To right, lower hipped coach house with 2 small quatrefoil
windows above, and 2 small French windows below. Right return
has a blocked pitching eye and below, a C20 glazing bar
casement.
To right, a lean-to addition with ramped coped wall and side
wall stack, with, to right, a half-glazed door and a 9-pane
window. Beyond, a ramped coped boundary wall approx 40m long,
with an off-centre double gate.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: semicircular curved boundary wall with
flat coping plus iron railings and a central pair of square
gate piers with moulded caps.
