Osborne monument in the churchyard
G.V. about 11 metres south of nave of
Church of St. James

Chest tomb. Early C19. Limestone. Shaped top with moulded edge, moulded
plinth, shaped ends east and west with garland of leaves to edges, paired
inscription panels north and south with central draped swag. Earliest
decipherable date to Mary Osborne, 1820 and other members of the family. One of
a pair of Osborne monuments, the other (q.v.) lies about 2 metres east.
