A Grade II* Listed Building in Pilton, Rutland

Church of St.Nicholas, Pilton

South east aspect. Restored in the Victorian manner to represent the Early English Gothic origin of the church. Chancel with lancet widows. The impressions given by the masonry below the east lancets are 1) they were original, 2) the Victorian restorers moved them upwards when raising and rebuilding the chancel. (Photo Apr 2008).
