2/245 The Little House

GV II

Single Cottage. Later C18 with C19 porch, and a C20 extension at
right hand. Rubble-stone walls. Thatch roof gabled at left hand,
and half-hipped at right hand. l½ storeys. 2 windows. 3-light wooden
casements with horizontal glazing-bars and keyed stone lintels.
Upper floor casements have been raised in C20 into eyebrow dormers
by addition of 2-light casements over the originals. Front door at
centre, plank-and-muntin with a segmental head. Stone porch into
which this gives access, stone with a gabled slate roof and wavy
bargeboards. Keyed segmental lintel and a small single light-over.
Attached brick and stone extension at right hand side, under a
slate roof. Casement window. This is included. Attached front
garden wall and gate-piers. Rubble-stone wall with rough coping-
stones. Ashlar gate-piers with low pyramidal caps.
