4/44 Grange Farm Cottage

Cottage. C16, underbuilt C17 and altered C19 and C20. Red brick
and mud and stud, plastered and whitewashed, thatched roof with
single half hipped end and raised 2 brick coped tumbled gables.
2 gable and single ridge brick stacks. T-plan. Dentillated
gable band. Single storey with attics, irregular 4 bay side
front, the left hand end bay advanced and gabled. Off-centre
half glazed door covered by C20 timber porch and to right 2 plain
casements under timber lintels and to lefta single 2 light
casement. Garden front of 3 bays with brick plinth has central
half glazed door with 2 light casement to right and 3 light
casement to left. In the roof are 3 dormers with 2 light
casements and shallow segmental leaded heads. Interior has deep
chamfered beam in garden range. Shallow chamfered beam with
runout stops in rear range. C18 double panelled doors
throughout.
