SU 67 SE TILEHURST PINCENTS LANE (west side)

6/4 Pincents Farmhouse

G.V. II

Farmhouse. Late C16 with refacing and additions of circa 1920. Rendered
timber frame with angle braces, and rendered brick additions. Plat bands.
Old tile roof with half hip to lower gable end at right, catslide over
outshot to rear, and twin tile-hung gabled projecting stair tower to rear.
End stack to right, large central ridge stack off-centre to left, 2 large
tile hung gabled dormers to left with 4-light diamond leaded casements, and
smaller blank tile hung gabled dormer to right. 4 framed bays with L-plan
formed by C20 addition to right at rear. 2 storeys and attics. 2 first
floor 5-light leaded casements to left, and 4-light leaded casement to right.
2 ground floor 3-light leaded casements to left, and 3-light leaded casement
to right. C20 boarded door to right flanked by C20 leaded casements.
Interior: chamfered beams, posts, rails and purlins. C17 doors and chamfered
doorframes. C17 staircase and window frames, including some mullions.
Side-purlin roof.
