Farmhouse. C17, refronted and altered early - mid C19 with later additions and
alterations. Rubble, stone dressings, rendered except at left return of wing,
double Roman tiled 2-span roof with raised coped verges and external brick gable
stacks, pantiled centre valley. North front of 2 storeys and 3 windows, ground
floor has 2 sashes with wider central pane in raised stone surround with cornice,
central door of 2 long fielded panels with 6-pane overlight and pediment on
scrolled brackets, first floor has three 6-pane sashes with wider central pane and
raised stone surround. Right return has narrow 2-storey flat roofed C19
addition with 3-pane segmental headed light at ground floor and small fixed light
at first floor, weathered external stack to each gable end. Left return has wing
along side in 3 sections, single storey to left with 2 doors; central 2-storey
with 2-light casement, door and small single light, 2-light casement at first
floor, all with timber lintels; single storey to right with 3-light C20 window,
straight joint between each. Rear of 2½ storeys and 3 windows, ground floor has
2 tall 2-light windows with ovolo mullions and hood mould, very large central
cross window at upper level with ovolo mullion and transom and hood mould, first
floor has two 2-light C19 casements in flat stone surrounds, 3 gabled dormers.
1½ storey wing attached to right has lean-to porch with C20 window and door,
3-light C20 window to right, 4-pane light at first floor left. Interior: not
accessible.
