Timber-framed and plastered house of C17 origin but with largely C18 external
features. Two storeys. The north part of the front is of painted brick
with a raised band between the storeys, and the south part is faced in roughcast.
Four window range of double-hung sashes with glazing bars, in flush cased
frames. The doorway has a cornice hood on moulded brackets. Roof tiled,
half hipped with 3 gabled dormers on the front. (RCHM 20 Rickling).
