C17, a date 1675 with initials GB was found on one of the roof timbers,
which accords with the character of the house. Externally the timber
framed structure has been encased in Fletton brickwork with small buttresses
at intervals. Windows are practically all modern as also a porch. There
is a stack of 4 octagonal detached flues, old plain tile roof. Interior:
spiral oak stair and beamed ceilings, a duck's nest grate, but much modernisation
in general.
