House, now shops with offices over. C17, refronted C19,
altered C20, and reconstructed after fire damage in 1984.
Timber-framed with C19 yellow-grey brick front, with plaster
over carriageway on right. Old tiled roof, with 2 gabled
dormers with modern casements.
2 storeys and attics. 5 first floor sash windows with glazing
bars, recessed in reveals. 3 light sash window (replacing
earlier oriel bow) over carriageway. C20 shopfronts on ground
floor, with twin projecting square bays, with small panes,
over brick stallrisers. Continuous fascia above, running over
central doorway, with twin leafed half-glazed doors. Exposed
timber-framing in carriageway at right. 2 storey rear
outshoot, yellow brick with old tiled roofs. Following
extensive reconstruction, this building is now included for
group value.
