House, now incorporated into the Hertford Regional College
campus. C18. Plaster fronts, modillioned cornice, old tiled
roof, with 2 truncated yellow-grey brick chimneys. 3 storeys.
4 flush sash windows with glazing bars. 2 doorways with
pedimented hoods on consoles. Incorporated into Ware Girls
Grammar School in 1906, and classroom block built on to east
subsequently, not of special interest. 2 storey plastered rear
range with old tiled roof, forming part double-pile plan.
Associated with Amwell House, Hertford Road (qv). Included for
group value.
