Rustic seat. Built c1766 by John Scott, the Quaker poet, of
Amwell House. Circular plan with conical roof, and pointed
arched entry. Walls and roof flint-covered, the latter
restored 1990. Forms part of the important `romantic' garden
layout undertaken by Scott, which includes one of the finest
grottos (qv) in England.
