Terrace of 5 houses. c1840. Possibly by Sir Charles Barry Jnr.
Buff brick with terracotta dressings, moulded brick ridge
stacks and fishscale tiles. Single-depth plan. Each of single
storey and attic; 1-window range.
A symmetrical group with end gables and 3 smaller gabled
dormers. 3-centre-arched doors, those to the end houses in the
returns, with labels to boarded doors; rustic timber gabled
porches, missing from No.12. 3-light ground-floor and 2-light
attic mullion windows with arched heads to mullions, labels
and metal lattice casements. Paired dormers in the ends. Ridge
stacks have square bases and 4 diagonally-set shafts.
Terracotta panels have Gothic numbering from 50 to 54, part of
a sequence covering the estate houses of the Wimborne estate.
