Terrace of 3 houses, now offices. Mid C18. Limestone ashlar
with brick party wall stacks and a pantile roof, hipped to the
left. Double-depth plan. Mid Georgian style.
Each of 3 storeys, attic and basement; 3-window range. A
stepped terrace has rusticated pilaster strips to a moulded
coping, and a rusticated ground floor to a plat band.
Left-hand doorcases have Ionic pilasters to pediments,
segmental to Nos 5 & 7; Nos 6 & 7 have moulded
semicircular-arched doorways with keys, fanlights and 6-panel
doors; No.5 is flat headed with rusticated reveals.
Segmental-headed windows to Nos 6 & 7, raised architraves to
No.7, to 6/6-pane sashes, and plate glass to No.5. 2 hipped
dormers each.
INTERIOR: entrance hall with a panelled division from front
room, and a modillion cornice, a semicircular arch with
panelled reveals to a side dogleg stair with column-on-vase
balusters, a moulded ramped rail and panelled wainscot;
6-panel doors and panelled shutters; carved timber fireplaces
and panelled shutters. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: raised basement
areas to Nos 5 & 6, with wrought-iron railings and urn
finials. A continuous cornice with Nos 1, 3 & 4 (qv).
