Stone Cross Cottage

GV II

House. C17 or C18 altered mid C19. Built of Isle of Wight
stone rubble, painted with brick dressings. Thatched roof with
brick chimney-stack. 1 1/2 storeys, 3:4 windows. 3 eyebrow
dormers having casements with leaded lights. Ground floor has
4 similar windows. Central thatched porch on chamfered wooden
piers. Plank door and foot-scraper. Remains of stone cross
fixed to outside wall. Brick lean-to addition to right hand
side.
