4/2 The Old Rectory

Rectory, now farmhouse. Circa 1840 with minor later additions and alterations.
Roughcast slate-stone; hipped slate roof. Main section in 3 bays with slightly
projecting hip-roofed break to right. 2 storeys. 3=1 windows, glazing bar sashes
to main range, upper left replaced by 2-paned sash, those on ground floor extending
to ground with moulded stone entablatures supported by consoles. Projecting break
has tripartite glazing bar sash in projecting pilastered surround on each floor
that on ground and that on first floor of reduced proportions. Rendered stacks
in top of roof slope between centre and right windows and to right of main range.
Tall sash window lighting staircase to centre at rear. Interior: Not inspected
but noted as having panelled window shutters.
