Former Church of England school, now divided as houses. 1835, with C20 alterations. By William Grellier. Brick with stone dressings and slate roof. Classical style. 2 storeys, 5-window range with advanced outer bays surmounted by pediments carried on coupled giant Tuscan pilasters. All windows renewed in original openings with stone sills, forming continuous band in central range at first floor. 1-bay return to Chapel Street, 2 storeys with 2 blind windows, the former school rooms forming lower wing beyond. INTERIOR has been extensively altered on conversion, including the insertion of ceilings.
