south-west of Acton Lodge

Garden gate and wall. Late C18/early C19. Rubble, freestone dressings.
A wall (of circa 2 metres height) with soldier course coping runs circa
25 metres to a square column with moulded cap; at right angles to this column
is a basket-arched opening under a coping and on rusticated pilasters which
break forward from a plain wall between 2 square columns with moulded cap.
