Farmhouse, now house. c.1760-70, with late C17/early C18 wing to rear left. Squared and coursed limestone; gabled concrete tile roof to front, stone slate roof to rear left wing and late C19 plain tile roof to wing on right; late C19 brick end stacks. U-plan with projecting wings to rear. 3 storeys; symmetrical 5-window range. Early C19 portico with moulded cornice and columns in front of keyed stone lintel over 6-panelled door. Keyed stone lintels over late C19 two-pane sashes. Raised storey bands; moulded cornice to parapet. Range to right, with hipped roof and refronted in late C19, has stone lintels over late C19 sashes to one-bay front and flat stone arches over early C19 eight-pane sashes to right and rear. Round window above C20 outshut to rear. Interior: stone flagged floors; C18 and early C19 panelled doors; late C18/early C19 plank doors to rear right, with fine Norfolk latch to one door and segmental-arched heavy-pegged frame. Early C19 marble fireplace to left; on first floor, similar fireplace to right and mid C18 fireplace with moulded stone architrave and mid C18 hob grate with panelled surround to cupboard door on left; mid C18 fireplace in attic. Fine mid C18 open-well staircase, with wreathed handrail, turned balusters on open string, and carved guttae to fret-cut brackets; panelled dados to stair-hall and well. Rear left wing has stop-chamfered beams and apple loft with 3-bay collar-truss roof. Subsidiary features: walls, of stone-coped limestone rubble, enclose garden to rear of approximately 58 x 22 metres. Outbuildings attached to right are C18 privy of limestone rubble with pyramidal stone slate roof; 2-storey C18 storehouse of similar materials with collar-truss roof; mid C19 outbuilding with pantile roof. Walls used for fruit growing: Kidlington was noted for fruit growing, especially apricots.
