House. C16 or early C17. C19 polychrome brick facing to S
front. 2 storeys and attics, timber frame, plastered. Old red
tile roof gabled to E and W, 2 storey timberframed, plastered
rear wing near W end with clasped purlin roof structure and
shaped feet to rafters. 2 large red brick lateral chimneys on
rear wall in English bond. 3-light mullioned and transomed late
C17 windows at rear,altered for wooden opening lights. 2 single
storey brick extensions to rear in English bond brickwork -
probably C17. E extension has hipped tile roof: W extension has
steep gabled roof now slated. Attic lit by Yorkshire sliding
casement in gable, C19. S front in yellow stock brick banded in
red and with symmetrical 3-window design. Red gauged segmental
arches to recessed sash windows. Glazed porch to central door.
On a conspicuous corner site.
