Mid C19 hospital building of two storeys in red brick with stone dressings and
Welsh slate roof. Centre block and projecting flanking wings at right angles.
Sides have four windows with plain stone surrounds and hung sashes with glazing
bars. Ground floor windows similar but larger. Centre window in a projection
on the first floor which is gabled with a stone finial. Ends of ranges have
6-light mullion and transom windows with cusped heads to first floor. The centre
projection has stone rusticated quoins and a moulded gable with stone finial
and bell. A rounded oriel with eight mullion and transom lights below clock.
Cusped head to doorway with stone architrave. Three steps up to two arched
doors. Main block has mezzanine windows to ends. Additions to left return not of
special interest.
