Late C18/early C19. In the centre of what was originally the kitchen garden of
the house, though it is suggested (ref Pevsner, Hampshire) that it may have been
part of earlier stables. Square section, standing on 4 square columns with a round
headed arch between them on each side. This ground floor portion and the section
above, which is inset, are faced with Roman cement. Above is a section, further
inset, of red brick with an octagonal cupola above containing a bell with a dome
and weather-vane over.
