House. C17 origins, reworked C18 and C19. Red brick with slate roof. Double
pile plan with 2-span roof. 2 storeys and attics. Symmetrical front
elevation, with brick band at first floor level and moulded wood cornice.
Ground floor has 4 sash windows with moulded surrounds and glazing bars, all
under gauged brick flat arches. First floor has 5 sash windows with moulded
surrounds and glazing bars, first one under gauged brick flat arch, 3rd and
5th under C19 cambered heads, 2nd and 4th C20 insertions. Attic has 3 box
dormers with 2-light casements with glazing bars. Central-front door with
moulded surround, surmounted by large segmental hood on foliated scroll
brackets, 4-panel door with rectangular fanlight. Integral red brick stacks
to both gable ends. Interior: late C17 staircase with moulded handrail and
twisted balusters. Entrance hall retains moulded pine panelling.
