Formerly 5 cottages, now a hotel: dated 1626 but fabric late C17 and
late C18 with C20 alterations and additions. Partly washed coursed
squared buff sandstone rubble, partly rendered brick. Kerridge
stone-slate roof, stone ridge and 3 brick chimneys. L-shaped plan,
2-storey, 4-bay street front has 3-light wooden casements with applied
lead glazing, the upper ones in gabled half-dormers. 2-storey south
front has a rubble hood mould and a tall chamfered 2 and 3-light
stone-mullioned windows. Remaining openings altered and date of 1626
a C20 copy.
Interior: Has a timber-framed partition wall with wattle and daub
infill. Some exposed ceiling beams but the remainder altered.
