House, now 2 cottages. Mid-C17 re-fronted mid-C18, altered to 2
cottages early-C19. Hammer-dressed stone (painted to rear), dressed
quoins, stone slate roof. 2 storeys. 2-cell, central lobby-entry
plan, double-depth. C18 front has 3-bay facade, symmetrical
originally. Central doorway with monolithic jambs has chamfered
arched niche or window (blocked) above. To either side former
4-light flat-faced mullioned windows with slightly recessed mullions,
most lack some or all mullions. Doorway (No. 6), inserted to left
of 1st-bay window, has monolithic jambs. Large well-dressed central
stack. One other added to left gable which has added lean-to; a
former stable. Rear has 4-light double-chamfered mullioned window
to ground floor and 3-light window to 1st floor. Other later
inserted windows and doorways, one blocked, the other (No.6) in
outshut.
