Warehouse, now art gallery. Early C19, ground-floor altered
early C20. Rendered brick with grey brick dressings to the
side, stone dressings, early C20 cast-stone ground floor, and
asbestos sheet roof. Rectangular right-angle plan.
5 storeys; 3-window range. Rusticated quoins to a frieze and
cornice, with 3 panelled dies above; early C20 ground floor
has pilasters to a cornice and entablature, with plate-glass
windows; flat-headed casements within segmental-arched
recesses, lower to central bay. 7-bay side ranges. INTERIOR
altered on the ground floor.
An interesting early C19 warehouse facade, designed in a
simple classical style with panelled dies designed as
acroteria.
