Arcade. 1839-40. Benjamin Baud. Round arched rusticated stone arcade with brick back for fixing of memorial plaques. Arcade breaks forward at intervals with Doric columns. Flights of steps down into catacombs to centre of quadrant and avenue ranges, the latter with domed octagonal tower over. Cast iron gates with symbols of death. Forms part of unified layout with chapel and other arcades.
