Terraced town house. Rebuild of 1842-44 by John Harrison of Green
Street, gentleman. Stock brick with stucco ground floor, slate roof.
6 storeys (as built) with basement. The front treated as a canted bay
of 3 windows through its whole height. Set back entrance to right
with 6-panel door and plain fanlight framed by pilasters. Ground
floor stuccowork rusticated with incised voussoirs to flat arches of
sash windows. Upper floors have recessed glazing bar sashes on French
casements under flat gauged arches. Deep, moulded stucco entablature
over 3rd floor, stucco string course above 4th floor and crowning
cornice and parapet surmounted by delicate iron railing. Good ornate,
but still Greek taste cast iron, tent roof verandah balcony to 2nd
floor; stucco pierced work balconettes to 1st floor; geometric cast
iron window guards to 3rd floor. Spear head area railings with
palmette-lotus pommel finials.
