Row of 6 estate workers' cottages, now 5 dwellings. Late C18, probably by
John Carr for Edwin Lascelles, 1st Lord Harewood. Punch-dressed stone, stone
slate roof. 2 storeys. 12-bay symmetrical facade with 2-bay projecting wings
with quoined angles. Doorways in bays 3, 5 and 8 have monolithic lintels and
overlights in chamfered surrounds. 16-pane sash windows (mainly altered glazing)
with plain stone surrounds which project to ground floor. Eaves band. Hipped
roof to wings each with ridge stack. 3 ashlar ridge stacks to main range. Left-
hand return has 3 bays with central doorway, 3rd bay formerly a window broken
through to form doorway (No 78) now blocked and part of No 77. Windows as front.
