Public house, 2nd ΒΌ C19. Hammer-dressed stone (painted to front), stone slate
roof. Quoins. 3-bay symmetrical facade with doorway with interrupted jambs and
windows with plain stone surrounds. Over door is decorative tablet carved with
illustrations of 2 men in Lincoln green dress:
"ROBIN HOODS INN
If ROBIN HOOD be not at home
come take a pot with little John"
Eaves band and gutter brackets. Left hand return wall has simple Venetian
window to gable. Right hand return wall has 5-light flat-faced mullioned window
to each floor. That to 1st floor has lowered sill and lacks 2 mullions. Gable
stacks. Prominently sited on a bend in the centre of the village.
