1832 former Town Hall and Market. Painted stucco, Greek revival style. Two-storey.
Five window range. Ground floor recessed Doric colonnade in antis, 4 cast-iron
columns. Formerly open, blocked 1920s with metal frame windows and 4 bronze memorial
plaques. Central door. Pilastered 1st floor with full entablature. Windows in
moulded architraves with flat cornices. Glazing bar sashes. Rear wall rebuilt 1920s,
stone 1832 date plaque set on rear wall. Two Doric half-columns in entrance hall.
Brick arched cellars and former jail beneath.
