Formerly farmhouse and now house: early C17 with additions dated
1706. Timber framed, partly brick nogged, partly plastered infill on
stone base. Welsh slate roof. 1 central and 1 gable brick chimney.
Originally 2-room baffle entry with added crosswing. 2-storey, 3-bay
front. Right 2-bays are of two builds and have 14 by 3 timber small
frames. 2 and 3-light casements, 1 in a raking half dormer. Door at
left end. Added parlour wing projects forward under a gable and has
slightly larger panelling and brick nogging. 2-light C20 casements
with glazing bars.
Interior: provisional list records a turned baluster, close string
staircase. Stopped, bevelled ceiling beams one of which is cambered.
The room to left has a dado of fielded panelling and ornamental iron
hob-grate. Good inglenook with bevelled stone jamb inscribed IMD
1706.
