Very early C19 Gothic villa or more likely earlier structure with Gothic
additions and embellishments. 2 storeys stuccoed and rendered. Double
steep pitch gable end slate roofs. Crenellated parapets to eaves and
gables each end. The main front is hidden from road falling west. The
south side has flanking projecting bays with the crenellated gables over.
3 windows between bays. 1st floor has casements of 3 four-centred arched
lights. Gothic French windows to ground floor and glazed verandah. The
gabled bays have broad full height pointed windows, the centre position
and tracery at top false. 3-light transomed casements with diamond glazing
to ground and 1st floor. The main west garden front has 4 windows 1st
floor, the inner 2: small Gothic sashes, the outer ones: 3 four-centred
arched light casements, all with drip moulds over. Ground floor has 2
large canted bays, one with Gothic sashes, the other with Gothic 2-light
casements, projecting cornices. One sash window with pointed top panes,
drip mould over. Central-centred arched porch with quatrefoil opening
in castellated gable.
