Church House

A Grade II Listed Building in North Huish, Devon

Church House 2018

Uploader's Comments

Church House was derelict when my parents bought it in 1961. They spent two years renovating it and moved in about April 1963. My father Jack Lightbown was a skilled craftsman and also a fibrous plasterer. We moved out in 1981 and the house has since had a new kitchen extension and sun-room. Originally there was a pig shed to the left which my father used as a workshop. It originally had its own spring at the rear of the house. Formerly used as a pub and a post office/shop.
