5 Table Tombs south of the Church. C17 and one mid-C18. (1) West of west
tower: date 1748 legible. Roll-moulded stone cornice with moulded angle
balusters. Flat cherub-face at centre of main face. Double-arched on main
sides. (2) Later C17. Moulded ogee stone cornice. Lettering illegible,
part ivy-grown. (3) Date 1620. "Here lieth the body of John Ev(...) Junior".
Rest of the lettering illegible. Moulded ogee stone cornice. (4) Best
preserved, c 1610 (date partly obliterated). Lettering in Gothic "Here lieth
the body of John (...) of Wootton Abbotts in the County of Dorset, gentleman,
who after ... aged 72". Moulded stone cornice and necking. (5) Early C17
moulded stone cornice and necking. Incisad inscription illegible.
