SY 39 NE WHITCHURCH CANONICORUM WHITCHURCH VILLAGE

2/199 Old Cross

G.V. II

Single cottage. c 1700. Stone walls, roughcast and colourwashed. Thatch
roof with gable ends. 2 brick stacks, at left hand and right hand gables.
L-plan, with long rear wing down Wootton Lane. South east elevation: 2
storeys, 3 light wooden casements, leaded. Wooden cills. Front door at
centre, wooden frame with panelled wooden door. Interior: large open fire-
place on right hand gable wall. Flagstones in front room. "RCHM Dorset I",
p 264 (8).
