Early C18 corn merchant's counting house, now an auctioneer's
office. Local brown brick, red pantiled roof with gable
parapet. One storey and attic with basement. Brick pier with
stone cap, matching gate pier to Sulehay House, built in east
quoin. Straight joint to west of door, and one ground floor,
and attic floor C19 hung sash windows. Entrance to right of
centre with wooden, moulded architrave and pedimented hood with
dentil enrichment supported on shaped brackets. C19 four-
panelled door. Replacement ground floor C19 hung sash window in
red gauged brick arch with key block and blind window above to
east of door. Interior has raised and fielded panelling and
cornice to ground floor room and chimney piece with pulvinated
frieze. Some original panelling beside later staircase.
