Farmhouse, now divided into 2. 2 builds: probably C16 and a C17 partial rebuild
of an older building which may have been a wing to the western hall part.
Sandstone rubble with large quoins and ashlar dressings; west part of south
elevation painted render; roofs of interlocking pantiles with stone gable
copings, and stone, brick and rendered chimneys. South elevation 2 storeys, 3
and 2 bays. Higher eastern part now divided, with the eastern bay now part of
a separate house, has 2 bays with irregular fenestration, including some
renewed windows with flat stone lintels; stone surround of first-floor left
window has recessed chamfer and renewed cross glazing. Traces of older windows
visible. Western part has irregular rubble plinth; flat stone lintels and
projecting stone sill to 3 windows, all renewed and some inserted. Right gable
steeply pitched with overlapping stone gable coping, and damaged ridge finial;
massive stone chimney at left and brick ridge chimmey between second and third
bays of left part; massive rear chimney with offsets at right of east part.
C20 porch on right return gable. Short domestic extension behind. Interior:
east house has walls about one metre thick and chimney stack between bays; door
with round head on west wall, now within building but formerly entrance; second
former entrance in east end of north wall has chamfered square head. Ceiling
with stout stop-chamfered beams and joists in western part.

Barn wing to rear at right too much altered to be of interest. Lean-to north
extension and one-storey gabled south extension not of interest.
