Cottage and byre. Dated 1716 on door jamb. Sandstone rubble with millstone
grit quoins and tooled ashlar dressings; stone-flagged roof. 2 storeys, 4 bays.
2-bay house at left has central pent one-storey porch, with wood lintel over
empty door in right return. Inner door has tooled stone surround. Similar
surrounds to nearly-square windows, except block jambs and projecting stone
sill at first floor right. 2-bay byre has central boarded door in long-and-
short block jambs,the left inscribed WG/1716, the right JG. First floor has
2 vent slits and blocked door at right. Empty and derelict at time of survey.
