Milestone. Early C18. Single stone monolith, stop chamfered corners. Script
of C18 character inscribed to 3 faces much weathered and indistinct reads:

Set against the south wall of a double walled track leading to a packhorse way
to Cheshire known as the Salter Rake Gate near to its crossing with Withins New
Road.
