Formerly the stable block to Poulett House (now Alexandra Hotel), Converted
later C19. Rectangular block of blue lias; south-west facing side and gable
end to street with roughcast cladding. Hexagonal bell-cote on ridge behind parapet
of gable end. Ham stone dressings to street front. Ham stone parapet; coping.
2 round-headed windows with moulded stone heads, keystones and imposts. Oval
lunette above. Single storey addition with doorway to right hand. Ham stone
doorway with moulded 3-centred head, carved spandrels, trusses and triangular
pediment with carved crucifix in tympanum.

Nos 1 and 2 Pound Street form a group with The Peek Memorial Chapel, Hotel Alexandra,
Nos 1 and 2 Alexandra Cottage, Nos 5 & 6 St Michael's Hotel Shamien Hotel, all in
Pound Street, and also with the Stile House Hotel and wall in Stile Lane.
