House, c.1600, altered and extended C19. 2 storeys and attics. Part timber-
framed and encased in painted brick; C19 brick extensions. Plaintiled and
slated roofs; plaintiled gabled dormer; axial chimneys of red brick. Early C19
small-pane sash windows. Panelled C20 entrance door. To the left the
truncated hall range, c.1600; a further cell to the left was demolished C19,
leaving original open fireplaces now in the gable wall. An original cross-
wing, now central, was formerly gabled; the eaves raised and new hipped slated
roof built mid C19. Rear wing added early C19; further wing added to right mid
C19. A C19 ground floor room has good C17 oak wainscotting removed from a
house in Norfolk.
