Pair of unoccupied cottages approximately 100 yards south of Nook Farmhouse

Formerly one cottage extended. Probably C18 extended early C19.
Earlier part coursed and square stone, partly in ashlar, later part
in ashlar with local herringbone tooling; clay tile roof with coped
verges. Low single storey with loft; earlier part to right has
roughly central door, 2-light casement to right hand and 2 smaller
Windows to left at staggered heights indicating loft, stone integral
end stack; later left hand cottage has door to left and 2-light
casement window, and stone ridge stack. Interior: Right hand
cottage has bracketed chimneypiece. Included partly for
sociological interest.
