House and former kitchen. Dated B M with later alterations.
Coursed, squared and dressed large 1704
stone blocks; clay tile roofs with coped verges on rounded kneelers.
Baffle entry house, formerly lobby entry aligned east-west facing
south with former detached kitchen to S.E. corner. House to left
and kitchen to right. House: 2 storeys and gable-lit attic; 2
bays, 3-light chamfer mullioned windows, those to ground floor with
straight hood moulds, small stair window to right of centre; central
door with dated lintel. West gable has central 3-light windows to
ground and first floors and 2-light attic window, all with straight
hood moulds. Interior: Large fireplace with screen wall opposite
door, salt box and spice box with C18 oak doors and small fire window
in north wall. Kitchen: 1 storey and attic; 2 bays, C20 casements,
the upper ones gabled. Farmhouse and kitchen are now linked by a
C20 addition.
